At least 10 Cumberland County schools will have new principals next year.

The Board of Education approved eight principal assignments at its meeting Tuesday after recommendations from Superintendent Marvin Connelly Jr., according to a statement released by Cumberland County Schools. Board approval was required because the principals were being promoted from assistant principal positions.

The other two schools will have leaders who are transferring from principal positions in other schools, according to a separate statement released by the school system. Connelly announced those transfers and other leadership moves at the meeting.
