Ten moments to remember from the Milwaukee Bucks 2022-23 regular season
As is the case every year, fans are going to recall a season based on what happens in the playoffs, so the stories of the 2022-23 season mostly haven't been written yet.
But it doesn't mean we can't at least revisit some of the memories from the buildup to the postseason. The Milwaukee Bucks earned the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and had the best record in the NBA, so there were bound to be some good ones.
Here's how you might remember the 2022-23 Bucks regular season.
Ladder Gate
When Giannis Antetokounmpo tried shooting extra free throws after a loss to Philadelphia on Nov. 18, he got into an altercation with Philly's Montrezl Harrell, apparently displeased that Giannis had returned to the 76ers home floor for the extra work. Harrell took the basketball away, so when Giannis retrieved a new ball, he then found his basket occupied by an arena worker with a ladder, and when he tried to move the ladder, it toppled. It became a whole weird thing.
Have compiled videos from last night's Giannis Antetokounmpo/Montrezl Harrell altercation into one here.
I included timestamps for the videos I was able, using the arena clock in background.

Jae Crowder becomes a Milwaukee Buck … finally
Is it the longest gestating roster transaction in Bucks history? The Marquette University alumnus hadn't played all season for the Phoenix Suns and expressed his unhappiness with the situation, and it seemed as though the Bucks were perpetually at the center of a trade discourse. But would it take Grayson Allen in the exchange? Finally, in early February, the Bucks pulled off the deal and did not have to surrender Allen, sending away Jordan Nwora, George Hill, an unhappy Serge Ibaka and some picks ot the Pacers.
Crowder is apparently having a good time; consider how he got into the celebration scrum after a fan won 10,000 for a halfcourt shot in the final game at Fiserv Forum this season.
A Jrue Holiday steal of Devin Booker; we've seen it before (and 16 straight wins!)
On Feb. 25, the Bucks landed a 104-101 win over Phoenix and it happened thanks to a familiar defensive play; Jrue Holiday stealing the ball from Devin Booker in the final moments. Ah, nice memories. Not only that, but it was a 14th consecutive win on Milwaukee's way to 16 straight.

Did we mention Holiday hit the game-tying shot in the game, too?
Brook Lopez has nine blocks vs. Nets and a game winner against the Mavericks. Actually, just Brook Lopez in general
The individual accomplishment of nine blocks in a 118-113 win over Brooklyn or the winning basket in the final seconds of a 106-105 win over Dallas are cool accomplishments on their own. But they're also emblematic of Lopez's sensational season, one year after back surgery greatly minimized his availability. Now 35 years old, he's put himself in line to become the oldest winner of the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award, and his 2.5 blocks per game are the most of his career.
Giannis Antetokounmpo threatens Michael Redd's single-game scoring record
With 55 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo finished two points shy of Michael Redd's single-game Bucks scoring record, but it was still a career high in a 123-113 win over Washington on Jan. 3. He had 10 rebounds and seven assists, to boot. He didn't make any 3-pointers, either, but he also only had four dunks.

The Lakers won the battle, 133-129, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis playing excellent basketball. But the Bucks got the highlight of the night when Giannis Antetokounmpo raced back for a wild chasedown block against James.
Jevon Carter becomes a confident meme
"When I woke up."

Without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday, the Bucks won in double overtime over Oklahoma City, 136-132, and it was Jevon Carter who really stood out. He scored a career-high 36 points on 15 of 27 shooting.
Asked by Bally Sports Wisconsin reporter Zora Stephenson after the game when he knew he had it, he deadpanned, "When I woke up." The coolness was a season-long meme on Bucks twitter, with Jrue Holiday mugging for the camera and repeating the mantra after his 51-point performance later in the season. Kevin Durant may have stolen it first, though.
Jrue Holiday scores 51 vs. Indiana
On March 29, Jrue Holiday reached new heights offensively, racking up 51 points in a 149-136 win over Indiana. Not only that, but teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple double midway through the third quarter in a dazzling spectacle from the team's two-all-stars. Is it weird if most people were talking about a Grayson Allen dunk afterward, though?
Grayson Allen saves the day against the Raptors
Milwaukee defeated host Toronto on Jan. 4, 104-101 in overtime, with Grayson Allen hitting a shot in the corner off an amazing feed from Giannis as the Bucks star tumbled out of bounds. The Bucks nearly let it get away, allowing a 21-point lead to disintegrate with 3:50 left in regulation.
But in the extra time, the pass gave Giannis a triple-double at 30 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists. The 30-20-10 triple double was only the seventh of its kind in the last 40 years.

Brook Lopez goes to bat for Giannis
Lopez had a renaissance season and also won the heart of Bucks nation when he showed he'd go to bat for his teammate, getting in the face of Sacramento's Trey Lyles after Lyles swatted the ball away as Giannis dribbled out the clock of a 133-124 win over the Kings on March 13.
Lopez would be fined for the altercation but not suspended, though it did make for a wild photo. Giannis also had 44 points in the win, coming back for the first time in a week, and Khris Middleton had one of his best showings of the year with 31 points on 9 of 15 shooting.
Bonus: An ownership change
It might not be an on-court moment or even something many fans have to think about in the short term, but Marc Lasry agreed to sell his stake of the Bucks to the Haslams, a couple already heavily involved in pro-sports ownership.
