Ten receive Graduate of Distinction honor at Pontiac Township High School

For the second time, Pontiac Township High School will be honoring a special group of seniors who have earned the right to be called Graduate of Distinction. This year, 10 students will be awarded a medal signifying the work they put into their high school years in the classroom and beyond.

Grades are important, but so, too, is work beyond the classroom. This is shown with this group as only four of these students attained top 10 status in grade point average.

The Pontiac Township High School Class of 2023 Graduates of Distinction are:

Christopher Corrigan, son of Mark and Anne Corrigan of Pontiac, 3.913, will study at Joliet Junior College, Joliet.

Tyson Cramer
Tyson Cramer

Tyson Cramer, son of Craig and Jodi Cramer of rural Saunemin, 3.857, plans to study at North Central College, Naperville.

Jasmine Denk
Jasmine Denk

Jasmine Denk, daughter of Kim Denk of Pontiac and Jason Denk, Streator, 3.861, plans to study at the University of Washington.

Sydney Gragert

Sydney Gragert, daughter of Chad and Tricia Gragert of Odell, 3.982, plans to study at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington.

Kaitlyn Hamilton, daughter of Dan and Carrie Hamilton of rural Pontiac, 3.886, will attend the University of Illinois, Champaign.
