Ten20 Craft Brewery expands local presence with first taproom planned outside Louisville
A popular Louisville-based craft brewer is expanding across the river for its fourth taproom in the region.
Ten20 Craft Brewery is opening a new location in Clarksville, Indiana, according to a press release published Thursday. The taproom will be located inside the town's Bolt + Tie mixed-use complex near the Ohio River, in Clarksville's developing downtown.
Jim McGuire, cofounder of Ten20, said the new location should be a unique addition to the developing area in Southern Indiana, directly across the river from Louisville. The Bolt + Tie complex is at 1400 Main St., near the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge.
“Each of our locations has its own feel that fits within its neighborhood, and we look forward to creating a welcoming and fun place to complement the exciting development underway in downtown Clarksville," McGuire said in the release.

The new Ten20 Craft Brewery will occupy 3,400 square feet of space at the complex, with areas indoors and outdoors for customers. It'll offer views of the Ohio River and Louisville's skyline, according to the release, after it opens next summer.
Kevin Baity, Clarksville's town manager, said the project will fit right in with other developments in the area. Bolt + Tie opened last May and is part of a larger effort to build a vibrant downtown area in Clarksville. Plans are also underway to open another nearby retail and living complex, Current812, and the town broke ground on a new downtown street grid aimed at bringing more businesses to the area over the summer.
“We are very pleased to partner with TEN20 in bringing the first brewery to Clarksville and believe the density and environment we continue to create along Main Street will lend well to its success,” Baity said in the release" ... We look forward to many new businesses opening and additional development announcements in the coming months.”
The new brewery will stand as Ten20's first location outside Louisville. Three other taprooms are open in the city, with the flagship brewery at 1020 E. Washington St. along with a location in Anchorage at 11505 Park Road and a new taproom in Douglass Loop at 2200 Bardstown Road.
