No. 3 national seed Tennessee has advanced to the College World Series for the fifth time in program history.
The Vols punched its ticket to Omaha with a 15-6 victory over LSU in the Knoxville Super Regional at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Tennessee (50-16) powered past the Tigers (38-25) with six home runs in the contest: Jake Rucker (2); Drew Gilbert (1); Evan Russell (1); Jordan Beck (1); Connor Pavolony (1).
Dylan Crews homered twice for LSU. Tre’ Morgan and Brody Dost each hit home runs for the Tigers.

Tennessee starting pitcher Blade Tidwell captured his 10th win of the season.
Tidwell, a freshman, pitched seven innings. He yielded six runs and seven hits, while striking out seven.
Camden Sewell pitched 1.1 innings in relief for Tennessee, allowing one hit, one walk and recording a strikeout.
Pitcher Redmond Walsh closed out the game for the Vols, retiring the final two batters and striking out one.
