Tennessee couple charged with drug possession

Jan. 23—BOONEVILLE — A routine traffic stop by a Prentiss County Sheriff's Office deputy and a K-9 officer led to the arrest of two Tennessee people on felony drug charges.

The deputy sheriffs made the traffic stop Jan. 20 along Sportsman Club Road. During the stop, officers found a felony amount of illegal drugs in the vehicle and arrested Travis Fare, 40, of Michie, Tennessee; and Tersa Holley, 39, of Bruceton, Tennessee. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance.

During their initial appearance before Prentiss County Justice Court Judge Kimi Kitchens, bond was set at $20,000 each.

The case will be presented to the grand jury by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit.
