Tennessee football’s 2023 schedule is complete: See the full list of opponents, dates

The 2023 Tennessee football schedule will include nonconference contests against Virginia, Austin Peay, UT San Antonio and UConn with no true road game outside the SEC.

The Vols' opener on Sept. 2 against Virginia will be played at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. It replaces a previously scheduled game at BYU, which Tennessee bought out.

It's an unfamiliar nonconference schedule.

The Vols haven't played Virginia since beating the Cavaliers 23-22 in the Sugar Bowl to end the 1990 season. They've only played Austin Peay once, a 45-0 win to open the 2013 season. And they've never played UTSA or UConn.

Texas A&M will come to Neyland Stadium on Oct. 14, following an off week, in the rotation of West Division opponents. The Aggies won 34-13 at Tennessee in 2020, the last game coached by Jeremy Pruitt. But attendance was limited because of COVID-19.

Here is Tennessee football's 2023 schedule.
