Tennessee football gets commitment from 4-star wide receiver JJ Harrell of North Panola

Tennessee football landed its fifth player of the 2024 class when 4-star wide receiver JJ Harrell of North Panola High School in Sardis, Mississippi, announced his commitment on Monday.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Harrell is the No. 32 wide receiver in the country and No. 5 player in the state of Mississippi, according to 247Sports Composite. He is also the top player in his position in the state of Mississippi and chose Tennessee over Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn and others.

"They pretty much check off all the boxes for me, with just the offensive scheme and where they could use me," Harrell told GoVols247. "I could be used where I can develop and a person overall, so they really check off all them boxes for me and my family, and we came to the conclusion that Tennessee is what's best for me."

On Twitter, Harrell wrote "Home" along with four orange emojis.
