Tennessee football gets junior college offensive lineman Larry Johnson

Tennessee football landed a commitment from enormous junior college offensive lineman Larry Johnson III.

Johnson, a 6-foot-7, 350 pounder from Hutchinson Community College, announced his decision on Twitter on Wednesday.

He chose the Vols over Maryland, Houston and Central Florida among others. He can sign when the early signing period opens Dec. 21 as a member of the 2023 class.

Johnson was an academic qualifier coming out of Jenkins High in Savannah, Georgia. He played only one season at Hutchinson, so he has three seasons of eligibility remaining at Tennessee.
