Tennessee football's Kaemen Marley, former four-star recruit, enters transfer portal

·1 min read

Kaemen Marley entered the transfer portal Friday after one season with Tennessee football.

The former four-star prospect did not play for Tennessee. He redshirted in 2021, while working at multiple positions.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Marley was listed as a wide receiver on the UT roster, but also worked on defense at safety and linebacker. He was a four-star recruit from Eastern Randolph High in Ramseur, North Carolina.

Marley was the second highest-rated recruit for the Vols in the 2021 class behind only linebacker Aaron Willis. Six of UT's 17 high-school or junior-college signees in the 2021 class have either transferred or entered the portal. Such attrition is common following a coaching change as the 2021 class was mostly recruited by ex-Vols coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Tight end Trinity Bell and wide receiver Andison Coby entered on Thursday. Running back Tiyon Evans, who transferred to Louisville, entered during the season.

Quarterback Kaidon Salter and defensive lineman Isaac Washington transferred during the summer after offseason off-field incidents.
