Tennessee Lady Vols' nonconference matchups include UConn, Indiana at home

The Tennessee Lady Vols announced Thursday its rivalry with UConn will continue in the 2022-23 college basketball season and will be played at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Tennessee's first big nonconference game at home will be against Indiana on Nov. 14. The next will be Virginia Tech on Dec. 4, which is part of the Jimmy V Classic. UCF will make the trip to Knoxville next on Dec. 14.
The date for the matchup against UConn has not been announced.
The Huskies have beaten the Lady Vosl the last three seasons since the storied rivalry was renewed under former Tennessee coach Holly Warlick. However, current Lady Vols coach Kellie Harper was at the helm by the time the series came around in the 2019-20 season. The annual matchup with UConn was originally canceled by Lady Vols great Pat Summitt after the 2006-07 season.
UConn leads the series 16-9 since the two teams began playing in 1995.

All four of the announced opponents made the NCAA Tournament last season, with UConn making a run to the title game where it lost to South Carolina. Virginia Tech lost in the first round, while UCF lost to UConn in the second round and Indiana lost to UConn in the Sweet 16.
The Lady Vols made it to the Sweet 16, losing to No. 1 seed Louisville, which made it to the Final Four.
The other known nonconference games will be at the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in the Bahamas, which includes a field of Louisville, South Dakota State, Rutgers, UCLA, Marquette, Texas and Gonzaga.
The remainder of the Lady Vols' nonconference schedule and tipoff times will be released at a later date.
