American woman breaks Guinness World Record for hula hooping with flaming rings

There's only so many things we can handle at once but eight hula hoops on fire is enough for Grace Good to manage.

Good, 30, is joining the 2024 group of Guinness World Record holders for setting the score for balancing the most blazing hoops at once with eight. The previous number was six, set by April Choi from Florida last November.

She reached the feat by training in hula hooping since she discovered the passion at 18, according to Guinness. After finding herself in a friend group with interest in flow arts, a body-mind activity similar to yoga, she started using traditional hula hoops.

"I started with hula hoops and became obsessed with adding more and more," Good shared with Guinness. "Eventually, I was introduced to performing with fire and aerial acrobatics and the rest is history!"

Grace Good from USA now holds the Guinness World Records title for most fire hoops spun simultaneously with 8.

However, one world record is not enough for Guinness who already achieved her first late last year.

Good balanced 28 hula hoops, not in flames, while balancing on a giant rolling ball, setting a new record on Dec. 6, according to the book. She told Guinness the moment she became a record holder was "exhilarating."

"I had been working toward this for a very long time and to finally be able to say that I am a Guinness World Records title holder feels incredible!" she said.
