Minchey also stood out and was ranked the ninth-best in the competition, per 247Sports. He was captured performing drills and described as throwing well Tuesday.

Both Parson and Minchey were present at the 2022 Dandy Dozen showcase about a week prior to the Elite 11 Finals. They had several opportunities to discuss their emotions and excitement during the selection process.

"I didn't think it was real at first," Parson said. "I ended up talking to people in my circle, and they just told me to call them. I ended up calling Brian Stumpf and he hit me with the great news. I accepted right away that I would love to come down to LA during June. That was another great moment, to be a part of something special."

Brian Stumpf, Director for the Elite 11, informed every player of their selection for the Finals. Following the phone conversation with Stumpf, Minchey reflected on his childhood dreams and immediately shared the news with his family.

"Right after the call with Stumpf, I called my mom and told her," Minchey said describing the moment he was selected. "Both my parents and I have all been keeping up with Elite 11 since I was in middle school. So that was kind of cool to be living out."

The competition is hosted over three days in Los Angeles, where the finalists will have opportunities to work with several skilled coaches and trainers, including Lipscomb Academy coach Trent Dilfer. Minchey, who has competed against Parsons and live around 40 minutes apart, also mentioned his plans to stick together and build on their friendship.

"Chris and I played each other last season and then we'll play each other again this season," Minchey said. "We kind of know who each other are. We've, played against each other. It's just cool for us to be in that group. Like across the whole nation, for us to be so close."

Aside from expecting the support of his family and coaches at the competition, Parson told the Tennessean that he is expecting to see Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson in the stands. Parson built a personal relationship with Jefferson, who graduated from Ravenwood, and immediately informed him of his Elite 11 selection.

"I ended up getting the invite, I call van later on that night and he was just so happy for me. It was it was a great moment. You know, especially with him because he's like a big brother to me. He told me that he was gonna come out for sure and watch."

Parson, Minchey and Glenn are three of the 20 top prospects selected for the final competition. The Elite 11 quarterbacks will be named at the conclusion of the competition Thursday.
