Oregon State is still alive after defeating Tennessee softball 8-3 in Sunday's first regional final game.

The Lady Vols (41-17) dropped their first game of the weekend and were forced into an extra game by Oregon State (36-20). The Beavers offense bounced back after only recording two hits in Saturday's loss, scoring off of all three Tennessee pitchers to step into the circle in Sunday's first game. The Lady Vols' offense rallied in the fifth to make the game 5-3, but OSU pitcher Mariah Mazon put her team back up by five runs with a three-run homer in the sixth inning.

The two will face off again to decide the region's winner at 5:22 p.m. Sunday (ESPN+).

Tennessee started the weekend 2-0 with only one run allowed against Campbell, which it beat in six innings by run rule. The Lady Vols followed with a shutout performance against Oregon State in the first game Saturday, forcing the Beavers to beat Ohio State again to stay alive in the double-elimination tournament.

The last time Tennessee advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals was in 2019. After the 2020 season saw no postseason, UT was upset in its home regional in 2021.
