Tennessee’s all-time results against LSU

No. 8 Tennessee (4-0, 1-0 SEC) will play at LSU (4-1, 2-0) Saturday in Week 6.

Kickoff is slated for noon EDT at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. ESPN will televise the SEC matchup.

Saturday will mark the 34th meeting between the two schools. The Vols hold a 20-10 advantage in the all-time series. LSU and Tennessee have played to three ties.

Tennessee and LSU first played in 1925. The two teams have played in three postseason games, including two SEC championship games in 2001 and 2007. LSU won both SEC championship games.

Tennessee recorded a 24-17 victory in the 1972 Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston, Texas.

The teams last met in 2017 when LSU prevailed, 30-10. Tennessee’s last win in the series took place in 2005.

In the first meeting between the two teams, LSU and Tennessee played to a scoreless tie.
