Tennessee Titans, Nissan Stadium replacing Ticketmaster with SeatGeek as ticket partner

The Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium will be making the switch from Ticketmaster to SeatGeek as their official ticketing partner starting with the 2023 football season.

The Titans previously sold and distributed tickets through Ticketmaster, and all tickets for events at Nissan Stadium purchased before April 1 will remain available through Ticketmaster. But to buy tickets for Titans games, as well as concerts and events at Nissan Stadium, moving forward, there will be a transition to Seat Geek.

"We're in the business of making memories, and live events have an incredible capacity to bring people together and mark those special moments in time," Titans chief revenue officer Adam Nuse said Thursday in a team release. "When looking for a new ticketing partner, we knew we needed a like-minded team that looked beyond the technology of today − a partner that could evolve alongside us, create innovative products for today's fans, but also for generations to come. We are confident SeatGeek will provide our fans with a superior live event experience that perfectly exemplifies the spirit of Tennessee."

The Titans are the sixth NFL team to partner with SeatGeek. The other teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints and Washington Commanders.

SeatGeek differs in slight ways from Ticketmaster. It allows returns and has a marketplace for ticket holders to sell their tickets directly to others on the app. It also partners with teams and venues directly to attempt to make event access more efficient for fans.

“Nashville is an extraordinary city, filled with some of the country’s most passionate sports and music fans, and we’re thrilled to be part of its culture,” SeatGeek president Danielle du Toit said in the team release. “The Titans and venue staff at Nissan Stadium are looking years into the future, implementing state-of-the-art technology that will impact the live event experience for today’s fans and the fans of tomorrow. With our comprehensive customer database and fan-first features, we’re excited to help the Titans usher in the next generation of football fanatics and concert-goers, exceeding the expectations of fans stepping off Broadway and into the stadium.”

The Titans are in the early stages of trying to build a new stadium. The proposed stadium deal will cost $2.1 billion, with a final vote on the bill that needs to be approved to build the stadium expected to come in the coming weeks.

The Titans announced one other major change coming to Nissan Stadium for the 2023 season. Nissan Stadium will be converting from a natural grass playing surface to an artificial turf this season.
