The Tennessee Titans placed star safety Kevin Byard on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Monday.

Byard is the fourth Titan to be placed on the COVID-19 list over the past week, though one of those four, linebacker/special teamer Joe Jones, was activated off the list Monday.

Backup quarterback Logan Woodside and tight end Austin Fort (practice squad) are the other players on the COVID-19 list.

The Reserve/COVID-19 list is for players who either test positive for the virus regardless of vaccination status or who've been deemed a close contact with an infected person or persons as an unvaccinated individual.

Byard revealed in the summer that he was vaccinated, so his placement on the Reserve/COVID-19 list indicates that he tested positive for the virus. Vaccinated individuals can return to the active roster in as soon as 48 hours with two negative tests.

The Titans (8-4) don't play again until Dec. 12, as the team is on its bye week.

A 2017 first-team All-Pro selection, Byard has 64 tackles with five interceptions (including a pick-six), 12 passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 12 games this season for the Titans.

Tennessee on Monday also waived quarterback DeShone Kizer from the practice squad.
