Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry missed both games against the Houston Texans last season after suffering a foot injury on Oct. 31, 2021.

Henry's streak of 200 rushing yard games against the Texans had to wait until Sunday's game for an extension, and Henry delivered again against the AFC South rivals.

The NFL's 2019 and 2020 rushing champion surpassed the 200-yard mark on Sunday with a 17-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter, the fourth straight game Henry has gained 200 rushing yards against the Texans dating to the 2019 season. Henry finished with 219 rushing yards on 32 carries and two touchdowns.

Sunday's performance was Henry's sixth 200-yard rushing game of his career, which tied O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson for the most in NFL history.

  • 212 rushing yards and two TDs, along with 52 receiving yards, on 22 carries in a 42-36 overtime victory over the Texans on Oct. 18, 2020 in Nashville. That included Henry's game-winning 5-yard touchdown run in OT.

  • 250 rushing yards and two TDs on 34 carries in a 41-38 victory over the Texans in Houston on the final day of the 2020 regular season. The Titans clinched the AFC South title with the win.

Henry entered Sunday's game in fifth in the league with 536 rushing yards. That will improve by the end of Week 8.
