BALTIMORE — Football is back.

The Tennessee Titans open 2022 preseason play Thursday night on the road against the Baltimore Ravens (6:30 p.m./WKRN).

It marks the first time the Titans and Ravens will face off in the preseason.

Tennessee last played in Baltimore during the 2019 AFC Wild Card, a game the former won to qualify for the AFC Championship game.

The Ravens returned the favor the following year, topping the Titans in a wild-card matchup to secure a divisional round berth.

The Titans’ young talent and key position battles will take center stage Thursday. While coach Mike Vrabel didn’t disclose his plan for starters in the preseason, he indicated that star running back Derrick Henry would not take part in exhibition games.

Thursday’s showdown will mark the Titans’ first game action since their AFC divisional round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in January. Tennessee last season won 12 games, clinched a second consecutive division title and secured the AFC’s No. 1 playoff seed for the first since 2008.
