Fitzpatrick had been praised by Titans coaches and teammates since the spring, when he was an offseason award winner for the team. He was expected make a Year 2 leap. But he was inconsistent in the preseason, posting five receptions (on 11 targets) for 62 yards. He dropped a would-be game-winning touchdown in Saturday’s preseason finale.

Fitzpatrick, who spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad, had five catches for 49 yards and a touchdown in 10 games with the Titans last year.
