Tennessee Voices, Episode 268: Dan Hunter, entrepreneur, founder of Navorian and Workzinga

In the era of the "Great Resignation," return-to-office and the changing face of work, company culture matters more than ever.

There is a lot of uncertainty, awkwardness and discovery (and re-discovery) and the office — be it remote or hybrid — is a different place than it was in 2019.

On this episode of the Tennessee Voices video podcast, Dan Hunter, a serial entrepreneur, former SmileDirect executive and founder of Navorion, LLC, talked about his company's first venture: Workzinga.

Workzinga is a platform that focuses on the job search, hiring, employee assessments and creating a good company fit.

We talked about resetting the relationship between employee and employer, contending with retention challenges, and creating more fulfillment and satisfactions for all team members.

Money is a motivator, but it is not the only one, and a bad company culture can drive even the best employees out. In addition, many employees want work to fit in their lives and they want to be trusted, he said.

At the end of the day, Hunter told me, the solution is about building relationships, engaging with the workforce, and creating a stimulating environment.
