Tennessee football needed just 23 seconds to score its first touchdown of 2022.

And the Vols didn't even get the ball first.

Tennessee's Tamarion McDonald picked off Ball State quarterback John Paddock on the first play from scrimmage on a reverse flea flicker play, then Jalin Hyatt had a 23-yard catch-and-run touchdown reception to begin the Vols' season opener on Thursday at Neyland Stadium.
