Tennessee Vols football players use Twitter to thank fans, promise more in 2022

Tennessee football players took to social media after a heartbreaking overtime 48-45 loss to Purdue in the Music City Bowl on Thursday to thank fans for their support during the season.

Cedric Tillman, the star receiver, who had three touchdowns against the Boilermakers, wrote "Thank you Vol Nation for the love and support all year. Not the result we wanted, but we gave our all and fought to the end. Proud of this team!!!," on Twitter.

Solon Page III, a fifth-year linebacker, also had a message about next season for fans. "VolNation, appreciate and love you guys! Be prepared for a bigger and better season next year!!! #GBO #VFL"

Other players with messages were Roman Harrison, Velus Jones Jr., Trevon Flowers, Darnell Wright, Jaylen Wright, Jacob Warren, Jay Blakely, Dayne Davis and Princeton Fant.
