Tennis Fan Intrigued as Hot Dog Eaten in Unusual Way at Australian Open

A fan at the Australian Open recently was fascinated by a fellow spectator’s unusual style of eating a hot dog.

Twitter user Joshua Garlepp (@joshgarlepp) had his eye caught by some off-court culinary action during the Alexei Popyrin v Ben Shelton match at the tournament on January 21.

His video shows someone in a row ahead of him breaking off a piece of the sausage, rather than biting it bread and all, as is the more usual practice.

Garlepp wasn’t totally against this, seemingly. As he joked on Twitter: “A lot of people have their opinions on how to eat a hotdog, but this is the only way.” Credit: @joshgarlepp via Storyful
