Just a month after reaching the Australian Open semifinals, Ukraine’s Dayana Yastremska is showcasing her vocal skills by releasing her first song in Ukrainian.
Performing under the nickname D.Y., she released the song Hearts, a collaboration with Latvian rapper Loopout and Czech singer RODAN.
“’Hearts’ is out now,” the tennis star posted on Instagram.
“This is a song for Ukraine, for children, about strength, about love, and about maturity. Support us,” she wrote.
This marks the first song Yastremska has released in Ukrainian, a departure from her previous Russian-language tracks like Thousands of Moments, Beloved Track, and I Believe in You, which had earlier stirred up controversy.
