Teresa Giudice Shares Sweet Family Photo After Husband Joe's Deportation Appeal Was Denied by ICE

Teresa Giudice is reminiscing about past holidays with her family after her husband Joe Giudice‘s deportation appeal was denied by ICE.

“Joe with the girls decorating eggs, days like this I love having photos,” Teresa, 46, captioned a sweet throwback photo of her daughters Gabriella now 15, Audriana, 10, and Milania, 14, cuddling up to Joe, 46, showing off their painted eggs.

Missing from the photo is the couple’s eldest daughter Gia, 18.

The fond memory prompted a number of Teresa’s followers to send her well wishes.

“God is good Trea, you’re an excellent parent, and so is Joe. That will never change,” one fan wrote.

“Stay strong babe,” another user expressed.

“Praying for you all Teresa that he gets to come home to you and all your girls,” a different follower commented.

It was revealed on Thursday that Joe is now one step closer to deportation as his appeal against the decision to deport him was denied.

“We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice’s appeal,” James J. Leonard Jr., the Giudice family attorney, tells PEOPLE in a statement.

“We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters.”

The Board of Immigration Appeals’ April 6 decision leaves Joe’s future up in the air.

In October, an immigration court ruled to deport Joe to his native Italy after his prison sentence.

Even though he has lived in the United States since he was a child, he never obtained American citizenship, and immigrants can be deported if they are convicted of “a crime of moral turpitude” or an “aggravated felony,” according to U.S. law.

Joe and Teresa were initially indicted in 2013 when they were accused of hiding their fortune in a bankruptcy filing. Joe was also accused of failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008.

Teresa was released from federal prison in 2015 after serving 11 months of a 15-month sentence for fraud.

Joe was released after he completed a 41-month prison sentence in March for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.

Since he was released from prison in March, Giudice has been awaiting his fate at a facility in western Pennsylvania which houses immigration detainees.

Teresa has previously admitted that she and Joe would go their separate ways if he were deported. “I’m not doing a long-distance relationship. I’m not doing it,” she said on the RHONJ season 9 reunion. “I want somebody with me every day.”

“I know exactly what happens — I’m sure he’ll be with other women. It happens,” she added. “You do the long-distance thing, it’s not going to work. I’d be like, ‘Bye bye.’ “

The couple has been married since 1998.
