Terminally ill girl turns into Disney princess for early birthday celebration

Surrounded by characters from Frozen, Adalyn McGuire got her magical Disney moment, and a hug from "Frozen's" Olaf the snowman ahead of her 4th birthday.

McGuire, a young girl battling terminal cancer, got to meet her favorite Disney princesses as Olaf approached her for a hug. She turned to her family, mouth wide open, barely able to contain her excitement.

McGuire was diagnosed last year with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that occurs in the brainstem. According to the National Cancer Institute, the fast-growing tumors are hard to treat and include a poor prognosis.

Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee brought to life the magic of Disney with Music City Mouse, local business.

“Oh my goodness this was a magical princess party,” said Tanya Sturm, the founder of Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee. “Everything turned out perfect and I can’t think everyone that helped make this happen for little Adalyn enough.”
