Territory near Crimea now within reach of Ukrainian artillery, General Staff says

The official confirmed that Ukrainian troops had reached the banks of the Dnipro River, which allows them to exert artillery fire control over territory close to the Crimea.
“Artillery unites and, in general, members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to strike the enemy at the maximum range of our weapons,” Hromov said.

Having retreated from the right bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast, Russian forces are regrouping their troops and transferring combat-ready units to other directions, he said.
Ukraine has already retaken up to 5,580 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, having liberated 198 villages and towns in the south.

On Nov. 9, Russia announced the withdrawal of its troops from the city of Kherson and the right bank of the Dnipro River. Russian troops were forced to take such a step due to Ukraine’s ongoing counteroffensive in the region.
The Ukrainian Army entered Kherson on Nov. 11 and was met by rejoicing locals.
