Tesla invests in Del Valle ISD manufacturing program

DEL VALLE, Texas (KXAN) — On Thursday, Del Valle ISD accepted an investment from Tesla for student learning in the district’s manufacturing program.

The district said the investment would pay for equipment in the DVISD Early College High School and P-TECH facility, which was under construction next to Del Valle High School.

“The program will support students in a hands-on four-year program that will prepare students for robotics and automation careers in growing local industries. Since 2021, 144 DVISD graduates have secured full-time careers at Gigafactory Texas through the district’s partnership with Tesla’s Manufacturing Development Program,” the district said in a release.
