Plus size model Tess Holliday has hit back at body-shaming trolls in the best way possible.

Sharing a black and white ‘bumpie’ of her bare tummy to her 1.1 million followers on Instagram, the plus sized model who is six months pregnant, accompanied the shot with an empowering body-positive message.

“Every time I look at my tummy, I’m reminded at how amazing my body is,” she wrote.

“Even though I’ve had a baby before, I didn’t love myself entirely. So now every kick, every pain, is incredible to me.”

Going on to explain that baby bumps are beautiful no matter their size, she continued:

“I get constantly shamed and criticized for existing in this body, but the problem isn’t my size, it’s others inability to comprehend that beauty doesn’t come pre-packaged in one size.”

“I’m embracing my stomach getting bigger, stretch marks, and loving this little life I’m growing.”

The empowering post has been liked 33.2K times and has hundreds of comments with many thanking the 30-year-old model for speaking out against bump-shaming.

“Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m a really big girl and I have never seen a woman my size pregnant before. I have always wondered what our bodies would look like in this state. This photo is so emotional for me,” one woman wrote.

“When I was pregnant I was so upset about getting bigger that I didn’t enjoy the experience of being pregnant. Thank you for being an example to people that as you said beauty doesn’t come in one size,” another commented.

It’s the second time in her pregnancy the model has called out internet trolls for criticising her baby body. Earlier this month, she posted a picture showing off her “pregnancy glam” look in a swimsuit, after hitting back at a body-shamer on Instagram.

“Finally got to wear my vintage wrap made by a Versacé couturier,” she captioned the photo of herself poolside in Palm Springs. “Pregnancy glam because I can #effyourbeautystandards”

Just a day earlier she had shared a photo that someone had photoshopped of her head on the body of Ursula from The Little Mermaid, with a thought bubble dreaming of a pile of burgers and chips from McDonald’s.

But the outspoken model had a witty comeback:

“Some internet troll made this trying to offend me I guess, but the only thing I’m mad at is McDonald’s sucks… In & Out is clearly better. Also, #Ursula is amazing. Nice try tho.”

Body-shamers nil, Tess Holliday one!

Clearly the trolls are going to have to work much harder to bust this feisty lady’s body-confidence.
