Test your knowledge with trivia night with Huron Academic Endeavors, Senor Tequila
PORT HURON — Looking for a fun activity to do with the family? Engage the brain with some trivia with Huron Academic Endeavors.
Huron Academic Endeavors Cooperative Center is partnering with Senor Tequila to host a family trivia night. Attendees can enjoy a buffet dinner with a full-service bar while they play. Additionally, there will be a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale.
Families will play a five-round, family-friendly game of trivia. The subjects will be general knowledge, covering topics such as history, science and the outdoors.
"We are looking forward to a fun night and working with another local business," said Kelly Oldford, president of Huron Academic Endeavors. "We love doing fun stuff, especially in the wintertime that can help get families out of the house."
Senor Tequila is located at 321 Huron Ave. in Port Huron. Trivia night will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 25.
Trivia night will take place in a private room at Senor Tequila. Signage pointing where to go will be posted for the teams.
There is no fee for team registration, but donations are appreciated. People can register for the event at www.huroncooperative.org.
Huron Academic Endeavors Cooperative Center is a hybrid homeschool program. The center offers homeschool families a structured classroom setting two days a week, while also supporting them during the rest of the week when not in-person.
The center currently hosts classes for pre-school through second grade. It is located inside the Harrison Center, located at 55 15th St. in Port Huron.
Oldford said Huron Academic Endeavors is aiming to have two fundraisers during the year.
Oldford said the center is looking to expand its programming by Fall 2024, so all fundraising efforts will go toward that goal.
