Texas City under shelter-in-place due to chemical release

Officials issued the precautionary measure Tuesday afternoon after hydrogen fluoride was detected at the Marathon refinery.

- Breaking news coming into our newsroom right now out of Texas City. There's now a shelter-in-place because of a chemical release. That shelter-in-place is specifically for the 14th and 34th Street area. City officials are asking residents to go indoors, turn off air conditioning units, and close all windows.
