STILLWATER, Okla. — Spencer Sanders threw for 391 yards and hit Bryson Green with the game-winning touchdown pass with just over three minutes left, and No. 11 Oklahoma State defeated No. 20 Texas 41-34 on Saturday.

Green’s 41-yard touchdown came when he caught the ball on a slant, broke out of D’Shawn Jamison’s grasp just inside the 35 and made a move on Jerrin Thompson to break into the open field.

Green had five catches for a career-high 133 yards for Oklahoma State (6-1, 3-1 Big 12), which bounced back from a double-overtime loss to TCU the previous week.

Oklahoma State’s Jason Taylor II intercepted two of Quinn Ewers' passes for the Cowboys, and Kendal Daniels picked off Ewers in the final minute to end the Longhorns' final threat.

Bijan Robinson ran for 140 yards and a touchdown and caught a 41-yard touchdown pass for Texas (5-3, 3-2). Ewers passed for 319 yards and two touchdowns, but he went 8 of 25 for 129 yards and two interceptions in the second half.

TCU 38, KANSAS STATE 28

FORT WORTH, Texas — Max Duggan threw for 280 yards with three touchdowns and Kendre Miller ran for 153 yards and two scores as eighth-ranked TCU again rallied from a big early deficit to stay undefeated. First-year coach Sonny Dykes' Horned Frogs beat No. 17 Kansas State 38-28 to take over sole possession of first place in the Big 12 Conference. Duggan’s 55-yard strike to Quentin Johnston late in the third quarter put the 7-0 Frogs ahead to stay. That was their third consecutive drive to finish in the end zone. TCU last week overcame an early 17-point deficit to beat Oklahoma State in double overtime.

SOUTH CAROLINA 30, TEXAS A&M 24

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina opened strong with 17 points in the first six minutes and then held to beat Texas A&M 30-24. The Gamecocks returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown Saturday night and then turned a fumble and interception deep in Aggies territory into 10 more points and a 17-0 hole for Texas A&M just over five minutes in. It’s the first time the Gamecocks have beaten the Aggies since the SEC made them their Western Division rival in 2014. MarShawn Lloyd ran 15 times for 83 yards and had both of South Carolina’s touchdowns in the second half to keep Texas A&M from climbing back in it. The Aggies, ranked No. 6 in the preseason, are now 3-4.

TEXAS TECH 48, WEST VIRGINIA 10

Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire talks often about needing to win the "middle eight", those being the last four minutes of the first half and the first four minutes of the second half.

Doing so Saturday made things much easier for the Red Raiders.

By intercepting two passes and scoring a touchdown right before and right after halftime, Tech opened up a comfortable lead on West Virginia and went on to a 48-10 victory in a Big 12 game at Jones AT&T Stadium. It was the fourth win in a row by Tech (4-3, 2-2) over West Virginia (3-4, 1-3).

BAYLOR 35, KANSAS 23

WACO, Texas — True freshman Richard Reese ran for 186 yards and two touchdowns, including a late game-clincher as the Bears held on to beat Kansas 35-23 on Saturday. Baylor had a 28-3 halftime lead in the game matching former Top 25 teams that had both lost their previous two games. The 5-3 Jayhawks were within 28-23 when quarterback Jason Bean scrambled 4 yards for a touchdown with 6 1/2 minutes left, ending a 93-yard drive after Baylor was stopped on fourth-and-1. Reese scored with 2 1/2 minutes left. Bears quarterback Blake Shapen was 17-of-26 passing for 164 yards with a touchdown, but had three turnovers.

HOUSTON 38, NAVY 20

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Clayton Tune threw for five touchdowns, with two scores apiece from Nathaniel Dell and Sam Brown, to help Houston beat Navy 38-20. Tune had touchdowns of 6, 11, 3, 7 and 4 yards. He was 21 of 30 for 261 yards. Tune passed for three touchdowns in the first half to build a 21-7 lead — Houston’s first halftime lead of the season. Tune connected with Dell twice in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead, and Houston was driving on its third possession before Brandon Campbell fumbled it into the end zone for a Navy touchback.

CINCINNATI 29, SMU 27

DALLAS — Ryan Coe kicked a school-record five field goals, including a season-long 52-yarder, and No. 21 Cincinnati held on for a 29-27 win over SMU. The Bearcats broke up a potential game-tying two-point play in the closing minutes to clinch their sixth consecutive victory. Charles McClelland and Ryan Montgomery scored on runs of 76 yards and 1 yard for the Bearcats, who have won 19 consecutive games against American Athletic Conference opponents. After Tyler Lavine scored on a 1-yard plunge with 1:57 left to pull SMU within two, Preston Stone’s pass intended for Roderick Daniels Jr. was incomplete.

RICE 42, LOUISIANA TECH 41

RUSTON, La. — TJ McMahon threw for three touchdowns, ran for a fourth and Juma Otoviano scored in overtime to lift Rice past Louisiana Tech 42-41, wrecking the Bulldogs’ homecoming in the process. McMahon scored on a 64-yard run and Luke McCaffery on a 17-yard run as Rice erased a six-point fourth-quarter deficit and took a 35-27 lead with 3:57 remaining. Landry Lyddy, a freshman who had attempted two passes this season, led the Bulldogs to the tying touchdown, hitting Cyrus Allen for a 19-yard touchdown and Tre Harris for the 2-point conversion that sent the game to overtime. In overtime, Otoviano gave Rice the lead with a 4-yard run then Lyddy and Harris connected from 18-yards out but Lyddy’s 2-point pass was overthrown.

UTSA 31, NORTH TEXAS 27

SAN ANTONIO — Frank Harris’ 10-yard pass to De’Corian Clark with 15 seconds remaining lifted UTSA over North Texas 31-27 to take sole possession of first place in Conference USA. North Texas led just 6-3 at halftime and 13-10 through three quarters before the teams combined for 35 points in the final period. The final three touchdowns came in the remaining 2 1/2 minutes. Harris passed 6 yards to Joshua Cephus then UNT responded with Austin Aune’s 1-yard toss to Isaiah Johnson with 1:38 remaining for a 27-24 lead.

TEXAS SOUTHERN 34, ALCORN STATE 27

LORMAN, Miss. — Freshman Chaunzavia Lewis gave Texas Southern the lead with a 73-yard touchdown on a punt return, Raheme Fuller scored on a 45-yard pick-6 and the Tigers turned back Alcorn State 34-27. Texas Southern (3-4, 3-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference) took a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter on Andrew Body’s 18-yard touchdown pass to AJ Bennett. Aaron Allen fired a 65-yard scoring strike to Monterio Hunt, but Noah Kiani missed the point-after kick and Alcorn State (3-4, 2-2) trailed 7-6. The Braves took a 13-7 lead when Allen connected with Juan Anthony Jr. for a 62-yard touchdown, but Fuller intercepted Allen and raced to the end zone with 38 seconds left before halftime to put the Tigers up 14-13.

Body, a Miller grad, completed 11 of 18 passes for 85 yards with an interception for Texas Southern. He also led the Tigers with 86 rushing yards on 21 carries.
