Offensive coordinator Garrett Riley is leaving the TCU Horned Frogs for the same position at Clemson. The move comes after he helped lead the Frogs to the national championship game in his first season in Fort Worth.

Riley’s departure adds to an already difficult week for TCU fans, who watched their team’s lopsided 65-7 loss to Georgia in the championship game. The up-and-coming play-caller isn’t the only key piece the Frogs lose.

Heisman finalist Max Duggan, elite receiver Quentin Johnston and starting running back Kendre Miller headline the departures from Sonny Dykes’ team. In addition, three offensive linemen are leaving the metroplex.

The magic could be over in the short term for TCU. Here’s a look at how Texas fans and the college football world reacted to Riley’s move from Fort Worth.
