Here is who Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball will play on its 2022-23 schedule

The Texas A&M Corpus Christi men's basketball team released its schedule for the 2022-2023 season on Thursday.

The Islanders open the season Nov. 7 on the road against Mississippi State and will host UTSA Nov. 7 for their home opener at the American Bank Center.

A&M-Corpus Christi, which is coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007, will have 15 home games, and key road matchups at Mississippi State, Arizona, Oklahoma State and a three-game tournament at UTEP.

"We've put together a very competitive schedule this year that'll really challenge our team before we get into conference play," A&M-Corpus Christi coach Steve Lutz said in a news release. "We'll play road games at schools in the SEC, Big 12 and a top-10 opponent in Arizona which will be great tests for us. The conference schedule will also be tougher this year with more teams and the additions of Texas A&M-Commerce and Lamar, and we look forward to getting underway."

This season's Southland Conference schedule will feature a double round robin format with all 10 teams playing each other twice.

The Islanders conference opener is scheduled for Dec. 31 against Northwestern State. A&M-Corpus Christi will begin its conference title defense March 5-8 in the Southland Conference Tournament in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
