Texas man allegedly kills pregnant ex-wife, new boyfriend at youth soccer game, then dies by apparent suicide
A pregnant woman and her boyfriend were fatally shot in Texas Sunday at her children’s soccer game by her ex-husband, who was later found dead, according to local police.
The shooting occurred at an Alameda park around 10 a.m. Sunday, when the 38-year-old woman and 29-year-old man, neither of whom have been identified, were gunned down at the game.
The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital and the man died at the scene, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Hours later, the 42-year-old suspect was found dead in a local home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He has also not been publicly identified.
The gun the suspect seemingly used to shoot himself matched the one used to kill the couple, according to the Harris County Sheriffs Office.
Witnesses told police that the suspect was watching his son’s soccer game when his ex-wife and her new boyfriend pulled into the parking lot. That’s when he allegedly began firing, shooting them both multiple times.
