Texas Primary Election Day: Real-time results on key Texas races
March 1 has arrived and Texans who haven't cast an early or absentee ballot are heading to the polls to cast their votes.
Alongside the the race for Texas Governor, Texas residents will decide on Lieutenant governor and Attorney general, as well as other state and local races.
Polls close at 7 p.m. in Texas.

Texas Supreme Court:
Nearly all the Texas Supreme Court positions (labeled Place 3, Place, 5, and Place 9 on your ballot) are uncontested for both Republicans and Democrats except for Place 9.
Incumbent Evan Young was appointed Justice in November after Eva Guzman stepped down to run for Attorney General. Prior to that, Young had served as a partner at the law firm Baker Botts. He is challenged by a long-time appellate court judge, David Schenck, who is nearing the end of his six-year term in Dallas.
Court of Criminal Appeals:
In the Republican primary, only the incumbent in Place 5, Scott Walker, faces a challenger, Clint Morgan.
District-based races
There are district-based races for U.S. House, the Texas Legislature, State Board of Education, judicial seats and county positions.
