Texas Report Card: PFF grades from the Kansas State win

It isn’t easy for a head coach to get his team to play with maximum effort in a meaningless game.

First-year head coach Steve Sarkisian did just that in the regular-season finale. Texas played a complete game on both sides of the ball, and finally snapped their six-game losing streak with a 22-17 win over Kansas State.

Texas’ defense, who has taken a fair share of criticism this season, shut down the Wildcats in the second half with two key fourth down stops to ultimately take control of the game. Edge rusher Jacoby Jones returned from an injury and made an immediate impact on defense, while do-it-all running back Roschon Johnson was the star of the show on the offensive side of the ball.

As far as PFF grades from the Texas-Kansas State game, the top performer on offense was Roschon Johnson, while T’Vondre Sweat held that honor on the defensive side. Take a look at which Longhorns graded well, and which ones were on the wrong end of the curve.
