Texas Roadhouse coming to Crestview? Restaurant buys land, posts job listings online

CRESTVIEW — A Texas Roadhouse restaurant apparently will be built on a property just northwest of the busy Interstate 10/State Road 85 intersection.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Texas Roadhouse Holdings LLC purchased a 2.4-acre parcel in that area for $1.6 million on Dec. 28, according to Okaloosa County Property Appraiser’s Office records. The parcel stands immediately west of Country Inn & Suites on Rasberry Road.

As of Friday, the corporate website for Texas Roadhouse included job listings for a service manager, kitchen manager, restaurant manager and managing partner for the potential Crestview location, which the company lists as 237 Rasberry Road. The 2.4-acre parcel is east of Lowe’s and between Rasberry Road and the westbound on-ramp to I-10.

Officials from Texas Roadhouse did not immediately respond Friday to questions from the Daily News about the potential restaurant.

Crestview City Manager Tim Bolduc said the city has not received a development order application for the business.

“I didn’t know they were advertising job listings,” Bolduc said Friday.

Texas Roadhouse Inc. was founded in 1993, and its restaurants are known for their steaks and ribs.

As of last September, the company and its franchisees operated 654 restaurants in 49 states and 10 foreign countries, according to the company’s website. The restaurants consisted of 616 Texas Roadhouses, 35 Bubba’s restaurants and three Jaggers restaurants.

The nearest Texas Roadhouse to Crestview is in Milton.

Bolduc noted that residents who live in the Fox Valley area of west Crestview eventually will be able to take the Southwest Crestview bypass’ east-west connector over to the area of the potential restaurant, the future Crestview Commons’ development and other businesses near the I-10/SR 85 intersection.

The two-lane connector will stretch about 2.2 miles between Antioch Road and SR 85 north of the interstate. The connector’s east end will join with Physicians Drive, which connects to SR 85 via West Redstone Avenue just north of Crestview Commons.

While the entire bypass project might not be completed until early 2025, a national grocery store and a popular sit-down restaurant, each situated on an outparcel close to SR 85, could open by the end of this year at Crestview Commons.

In addition, five in-line retail stores located farther west could open in early 2023 at the Commons' site.
