March Madness is back again and the Texas Tech basketball team will face Montana State in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
In the 2020-21 season, Texas Tech advanced to the NCAA Tournament but lost to Arkansas 68-66 in the second round of play.
Guided by first-year head coach Mark Adams, the Red Raiders finished the 2021-22 season with an overall record of 23-8, including 12-6 in conference play.
Notable Texas Tech basketball wins during the 2021-22 regular season came against nationally-ranked Texas and Baylor -- in fact, the Red Raiders swept both teams.
In the 2022 Big 12 Tournament, Texas Tech lost to Kansas 74-65 in the Big 12 championship.
