It didn't take long for another Texas Tech team to land its own sizable name, image and likeness deal.

Ten days after the Matador Club revealed plans to pay 100 Tech football players $25,000 each per year, Level 13 Agency announced intentions to offer the same individual amount to the Lady Raiders basketball team.

All 14 players are in line for the $25,000 contract, according to the Thursday afternoon announcement.

Lady Raiders basketball coach Krista Gerlich lauded the deal, which is believed to be one of the largest in the country for a women's program.

"When I say Lubbock, West Texas & Texas Tech love their @LadyRaiderWBB, I speak the truth!" Gerlich said in a Tweet. "Historic day for our program! I am so proud to be a Red Raider!"

Football

Texas Tech receiver Myles Price has been named to the 2022 Paul Hornung Award preseason watch list, the Louisville Sports Commission announced on Thursday.

The junior is among the 52-play watch list heading into the college football season. The Paul Hornung Award is given to the most versatile player in college football.

Price is the top player for the Red Raiders in all-purpose yards returning from last year's team. In the 2021 season, Price accumulated 523 receiving yards, 83 rushing yards and 37 yard on punt returns.

The watch list was compiled by a panel of college football experts who consider a combination of stats, career performances, SID recommendations and expectations for the up-coming season.

Women's Soccer

The Texas Tech women's soccer team released its full non-conference schedule on Wednesday.

The Red Raiders will begin the 2022 campaign with an exhibition at Denver on Aug. 12. They will then play three consecutive home matches to begin the regular season.

Troy will visit Texas Tech at 7 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the season opener. Arizona will pay a visit on Aug. 21 and New Mexico will travel to Lubbock for an Aug. 25 encounter.

Texas Tech will head west for a three-match stretch that will see the Red Raiders play at Cal State Fullerton on Aug. 28, at Washington on Sept. 1 and at Saint Mary's on Sept. 4.

The Red Raiders will close out the non-conference slate with home matches on Sept. 8 (Houston) and Sept. 16 (North Texas) with a road trip to North Texas on Sept. 11 sandwiched between.

The Fresno State match will be the final contest before Big 12 play begins on Sept. 22 when the Red Raiders host West Virginia.
