Texas Town of Alto 'Ransacked' by Tornado

Tornadoes tore through East Texas on Saturday, April 13, leaving four dead and a path of destruction in their wake.

This video shows destroyed homes, cars and buildings in the town of Alto. Other posts on social media showed total destruction around the town. One woman described the town as “ransacked” by the storm.

Local media reported the tornado affected Houston, Angelina and Cherokee Counties. A Red Cross rescue shelter was established in Alto for those affected. Credit: Jesus Villareal via Storyful
