The Butler men's basketball program has had an Easter to remember, securing three commitments in one day.

Central Arkansas guard Camren Hunter started the day, announcing his intention to transfer in. Then Sunday evening, Michigan State guard Pierre Brooks and St. Francis (Pa.) guard Landon Moore joined the party.

Brooks is a former four-star recruit from Detroit. The 6-6 guard was rated as the No. 61 player in the nation by 247Sports in the 2021 class. He played sparingly as a freshman and continued to play a small role for the Spartans last season, averaging 3.6 points per game in 14.3 minutes per. Brooks scored in double figures three of Michigan State's first seven games, including back-to-back 15-point performances against Oregon and Portland in late November. Brooks never reached double figures again.

Moore wasn't as highly recruited coming out of Bloomington, Ill., but the 6-3 guard had a productive freshman season at St. Francis. Moore averaged 13.1 points, 3.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game. He's a 36% 3-point shooter and shoots 82% from the free throw line. Moore scored 16 points going 3-of-5 from 3 against Butler in November. Moore scored a career-high 25 points against then-No. 25 ranked Miami.

International Man of Mystery What to know about Butler's Brazilian commit Augusto Cassia

Both Moore and Hunter are combo guards capable of scoring and playmaking. Both players could complement each other in the backcourt or play alongside Brooks, a bigger guard/forward type.

So far, Thad Matta and staff have been busy, also adding Bucknell transfer Andre Screen and Brazilian wing Augusto Cassia to a roster that saw six players enter the transfer portal (Simas Lukosius, Jayden Taylor, Myles Tate, Myles Wilmoth, Chuck Harris and Pierce Thomas).

With Sunday's three additions, Butler has one open scholarship remaining.
