Thai Danish model Anntonia Porsild was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2023 on Sunday.

About her win: Representing Nakhon Ratchasima province, the 26-year-old Porsild won this year’s Miss Universe Thailand pageant at MCC Hall in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

Like Porsild, the first and second runners-up, Thai British contestant Kirana Jasmine Chewter and Thai Indian contestant Praveenar Singh-Thakral, are also of mixed heritage.

Porsild will be representing Thailand at this year’s Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador in November.

Encountering difficulties: During an interview after her win, Porsild admitted that she found the Q&A section of Sunday's pageant difficult. Some of the questions she was asked addressed global issues and the basics of life, among other topics.

“I talk and think a lot. I have to limit myself to 30 seconds. That’s something I need to improve for the competition in El Salvador,” Porsild said, according to Khaosod English.

About the winner: Born to a Thai mother and Danish father in India on Nov. 2, 1996, Porsild has lived in various countries throughout the years, including Thailand, Denmark, Vietnam and Spain. She studied at Stamford International University in Bangkok for her bachelor’s degree in public relations.
