Thai restaurant in Celebration shut down last week

A Thai restaurant in Celebration received emergency orders to shut down in the week of Sept. 26-Oct. 2, according to data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Osceola County

Thai Thani restaurant at 600 Market St #110 in Celebration shut down on Sept. 27.

Officials found 14 violations, four of which were a high priority. Those violations included operating without a license, roach activity, and a food safety issue resulting in a stop sale.

Officials revisited on Sept. 28. They found 10 violations, none of which were a high priority.

The restaurant was allowed to reopen.

Complaints and warnings

Orange County had the top spot for most warnings and other complaints in Central Florida with 18.

Volusia had 6, Brevard had 13, Seminole had 10, Lake had 1, and Osceola had 11. Warnings given with required follow-up inspections could lead to a business being shut down if problems remain.

In surrounding counties, 12 warnings or complaints were filed in Polk and 2 in Sumter.
