Thanksgiving 2020 Store Hours: What's Open, Closed In Northbrook

NORTHBROOK, IL — While Thanksgiving Day feasts are likely to be a little smaller this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn’t mean we’re less likely to forget the cranberry sauce, the gravy or the whipped topping for the pumpkin pie.

It’s a terrible feeling — but, luckily, there’s a list of grocery stores that will be open in Northbrook for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips.

In contrast to previous years, retail giants Target and Walmart will not be open on Thanksgiving.
Both chains made the decision in response to the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement released on its website, Target said the company’s goal is to "make the holiday shopping experience simple, safe, and stress-free."

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with a list of those that will be closed:

OPEN THANKSGIVING DAY

  • Jewel-Osco: All stores open but hours vary by location. Pharmacy hours may also vary by location. Last home delivery and Drive Up & Go (D.U.G.) on Thanksgiving Day is 3 p.m.

  • Sunset Foods: Will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

  • Mariano’s: Stores open at usual time, close at 5 p.m.; pharmacies closed.

CLOSED THANKSGIVING DAY

  • Aldi

  • Costco

  • Harvest Fresh Market

  • Sam’s Club

  • Target

  • Trader Joe’s
