Thanksgiving meal, restaurant options in Greater Lansing in November 2022

A great Thanksgiving doesn't always have to feature a special homemade meal. Plenty of Greater Lansing restaurants have options that will help relieve the stress of holiday cooking, offering a variety of dine-in and take-out options on and around the holiday.

Below is a list of restaurants with Thanksgiving options in Greater Lansing:

A Thanksgiving meal without all the cooking

A few restaurants are offering Thanksgiving specials for you to take home. You can order ahead and pick up a Thanksgiving meal to simply put together or reheat when you are ready to celebrate!

Bob Evans, 625 Commercial Drive, Lansing — Bob Evans will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., serving a select Thanksgiving menu. They will also offer hot, Thanksgiving dinners to go. Visit the Bob Evans website for more Thanksgiving menu information.

Bravo! Italian Kitchen, 2970 Town Centre Blvd., Lansing — Bravo! will offer both dine-in and take-out meals on Thanksgiving Day. A "stress-free" Thanksgiving Feast To Go must be pre-ordered by 8 a.m. on Nov. 22. The in-house menu will feature a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey and a variety of sides. Visit the Bravo! Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, 608 Commercial Drive, Lansing — Cracker Barrel will be open for business from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and will also have Heat n' Serve holiday meals available to go. Visit the Cracker Barrel website to view holiday meal options.

Dusty's Cellar, 1839 W. Grand River Road., Okemos — Dusty's Cellar will not be open for dine-in guests on Thanksgiving Day but will offer Thanksgiving meals to go. Dusty's will be taking to-go orders from Nov. 1-16. Orders placed after Nov. 16 will be subject to availability. Pickup for to-go orders will take place on Nov. 22 and 23. Old Nation Brewing Co., 1500 W. Grand River Ave., Williamston — The Pub at the Old Nation Brewing Co. will be taking preorders for turkey pasties from Nov. 14 through 7 p.m. Nov. 21. Mitchell's Fish Market, 2975 Preyde Blvd., Lansing — Mitchell's Fish Market will offer both dine-in and take-out options for Thanksgiving. A to-go holiday dinner must be ordered by Nov. 20 and pickup will be available 9-11 a.m. on Nov. 24. Visit the Mitchell's Fish Market website for menu and order information. No happy hour will be held on Thanksgiving Day.

Saddleback BBQ, 1754 Central Park Drive, Okemos — Saddleback BBQ will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will offer cold pickup options from Nov. 21-23. Saddleback's menu features four different turkey meal options. Visit the Saddleback BBQ website to view the menu and place an order.

Sweet Encounter Bakery & Café, In the Knapp's Centre, 300 S Washington Square, Lansing — Sweet Encounter is offering several options for pie, cake and other desserts to go with a Thanksgiving dinner. Visit the Sweet Encounter website for a full Thanksgiving menu and place an order. The preorder deadline is Sunday, Nov. 13.

Whole Foods Market, 2750 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing — Whole Foods Market will have several different holiday catering options with pickup available Nov. 18-24. Free Thanksgiving meals

Blondie's Barn, 5640 Marsh Road, Haslett — Blondie's Barn will be offering free Thanksgiving meals on Thanksgiving Day 12-2 p.m. Watch for more details on their Facebook page and website.

Cristo Rey Community Center, 1717. N High St., Lansing — Lansing's Cristo Rey Community Center will be hosting a free Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day from 12-2 p.m. Visit the Cristo Rey website for more event information. Thanksgiving buffet

Capital Prime, 2324 Showtime Drive, Lansing — Capital Prime will offer a buffet of holiday food 12-8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Visit Capital Prime's website to view the full menu which includes options such as turkey, salmon, sweet potato casserole, green beans, stuffing and more. Reservations can only be made over the phone by calling 517-37PRIME (or 517-377-7463).

Restaurants open for business

Some restaurants in the area will not have specific Thanksgiving specials but they will still be open for business for anyone looking for a hearty meal on the holiday.

Asian Buffet, 4920 Marsh Road, Okemos — Asian Buffet will be open during its normal dining hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Asian cuisine is traditionally popular during the holidays and Asian Buffet's menu of over 100 different items offers plenty of options. Visit the Asian Buffet website to view the full menu.

Champps, 2800 Preyde Blvd., Lansing — Champps will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for those who are craving handcrafted American comfort food for the holiday. Visit the Champps website to view a full menu.

Smokey Bones, 2401 Lake Lansing Road, Lansing — The restaurant will be serving its signature barbeque on Thanksgiving Day for both dine-in and take-out diners from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit the Smokey Bones website to view a full bar and grill menu.

Swagath Indian Cuisine, 1060 Trowbridge Road, East Lansing — Swagath will be open on Thanksgiving, serving Indian dishes featuring a wide selection of Halal meats. Thanksgiving Food Drive

A list of products the East Lansing Police Department is requesting for its second Thanksgiving Food Drive. The department will take donations from noon to 6 p.m. on Nov. 27 at Patriarche Park in East Lansing.

After you have hopefully found a filling Thanksgiving meal and enjoyed the holiday, you may consider giving back to the community by donating to the East Lansing Police Department's second Thanksgiving Food Drive. On Nov. 27, the Sunday following Thanksgiving, ELPD will collect donations at Patriarche Park from noon to 6 p.m. to support the Advent House and the City Rescue Mission of Lansing. The department is requesting donations including clothing, nonperishable food products and hygiene products. Please see the event flyer for a specific list of products.
