‘The Final Meltdown’: Clinton camp taunts Trump with parody music video

Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a Web video on Wednesday that mocked Donald Trump and accused him of being in the middle of a meltdown.

The video is set to the tune of “The Final Countdown,” the 1986 hit by the Swedish rock band Europe. But Clinton’s team replaced “countdown” in the song’s chorus with “meltdown.”

As the Clinton parody video notes, Trump has been fiercely lashing out at both the Democratic nominee and Republican critics since last Friday, when the Washington Post published a 2005 video of him bragging that his celebrity status allowed him to kiss and grope women.

The Clinton team used a recent string of provocative Trump comments to make its “meltdown” argument. The video quoted Trump saying he’s “ashamed of this country” while promising to appoint a special prosecutor to go after Clinton, agreeing with his supporters about locking Clinton up, calling Clinton “the devil” in Sunday’s debate and refusing to believe that he’s behind among female voters.

It also noted the Trump campaign ad, released Tuesday, which attacked Clinton over her health. For his part, Trump released another TV ad on Wednesday that accused Clinton of “corruption.”
