Jeremy Clarkson and co drop a car from a helicopter and tackle a hair-raising mountain climb in the explosive new trailer for their Grand Tour lockdown special Carnage A Trois.

Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are heading across the Channel to take a look at French cars in the eagerly anticipated special.

The trailer opens to the sound of a French version of Gloria Gaynor song I Will Survive, and sees the stars raising their binoculars to look across the water towards France.

“We like their food, we like their wine… but French cars can be a bit weird,” says Clarkson.

The trio are then seen in all sorts of escapades over the next two minutes.

Hammond is shown trying to drive a propeller powered car, while Clarkson leaps out of the way and warns the crew: “Run for your life!”

A car is also seen hurtling towards the ground after being dropped 500ft from a helicopter and another vehicle is seen rolling down a muddy hill, while one bursts into flames.

In another scene, Hammond is on the receiving end of some rather cross words from locals over the way he is tackling a roundabout.
