The Rock falls for daughter's 'stay up longer' bedtime trick in sweet video

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is Hollywood's highest-paid actor, but he's never too busy for make-believe time with his daughters — even if his legs get tired.

In a recent Instagram video, the actor-entrepreneur sits crossed-leg on the floor while his daughter Tiana, 2, "serves" him scoop after scoop of Hawaiian shave ice. Playing the role of a demanding customer, Johnson asks for flavors peanut butter, pancake and snozzberry, the imaginary fruit from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He plays along until he confesses, "I think daddy's legs are falling asleep."

The 48-year-old wrote under his post, "When it’s time to go to bed these babies do everything they can to stay up longer — so this means daddy you have to sit criss cross apple sauce and not move while I serve you Hawaiian shaved ice. For 20 min."

He added, "Life is so busy. Pulls at us from every angle. Nonstop. These lil quiet moments, with my babies — man I need these."

The Rock frequently posts videos starring Tiana and his eldest daughter Jasmine, 5, whom he shares with wife Lauren Hashian. "Every man wants a son, but every man needs a daughter," he wrote on Instagram this month. "All my girls have become the great equalizers in my life — I’m surrounded by estrogen and wouldn’t have it any other way." Referencing a photo of Tiana, he wrote, "And man I hope she never gets tired of holding these big ol’ dinosaur hands, though I suspect one day she will."

Recently, the former wrestler braked from "daily grinding family/work/training/repeat schedule" to try cupping, the ancient medicinal practice of pressing heated cups to the skin to promote blood circulation, now a celebrity craze. "We only get one body, so we gotta take care of it," he captioned a photo of his reddened back.

Health is No. 1 for The Rock, who recently told Bloomberg that his entire family testing positive for COVID-19 in August inspired him to add more vitamins to his energy drink Zoa, which he launched this month. "It hits everybody differently. My symptoms were very mild," he told the outlet. "My wife had some stronger symptoms — she was bedridden for about a day, she had a little bit of a fever. That thing is so fast and so insidious." Tiana and Jasmin had mild symptoms, he said last year on Instagram, but he and Hashian were knocked out.

"I've gotten knocked about and gotten my ass kicked a little bit in the past with some challenges, but testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times," he said. "The reason why I feel this is different is because my number one priority is to always protect my family and protect my children, my loved ones."
